Bob Lind's new novel:
East of the Holyland
From acclaimed singer/songwriter Bob Lind, a powerful novel of an artist's struggle to survive.
Summer, 1964. Denver folksinger Jory Durham's world is falling apart. He's drinking, he's dead broke. His best friend is leaving town. His relationship with his girlfriend is hanging by a thread. And a deranged fan is worming his way into Jory's life.
But worst of all, the great folk music fad that filled the coffeehouses is on the decline.
To Jory, acoustic music is what he lives for. But he may have a chance at redemption: A benefit concert to save The PSYCHE coffeehouse where he got his start. If he and his fellow musicians can just get the club back on its feet, folk music in the Mile-High City might thrive again. And maybe — just maybe — Jory will be able to continue to live his passion: The Music!

Bob Lind's music helped define 'Folk Rock'
In 1966 Bob Lind helped launch and define folk rock, writing and singing the groundbreaking megahit “Elusive Butterfly.”

It began an illustrious career as a songwriter that continues as strong as ever today, with brand new music and a blockbuster book!

It seems the world can't get enough of this music master, so besides his own performances, Bob Lind's songs have been recorded by over 200 artists, including Cher, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, The Kingston Trio, Dolly Parton, The Four Tops, Nancy Sinatra, Richie Havens, Johnny Mathis, Glen Campbell. and a whole lot more.

But nothing equals the experience of watching this dynamic performer deliver his own songs.

Bob continues to generate accolades for his singing. “Bob held the (mostly young) audience rapt through a lengthy set," said Ian Marshall, promoter, describing a recent performance in Los Angeles. "I saw several celebrities amongst the crowd, namely Meg White of The White Stripes . . . for weeks afterward people were thanking me for putting on the gig, telling me how great a time they had."

Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Paul Surratt is currently making a documentary about Lind's life and work.

This engaging poet/guitarist/philosopher/singer/wise-ass has endured in the sometimes-cruel and always-fickle music business for more than 40 years.

But come prepared to feel emotions you may not have let yourself feel in a while — feelings that may scare you a little. His songs hit the heart like a wrecking ball! To read more about this fascinating troubadour, check out Bob Lind's website!
